Ingredients
#- 2 cups warm water (between 110 - 115 F)
- 2 packages dry yeast
- 2/3 cup white sugar
- 1-1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 6 cups flour
Directions
#- In a large bowl dissolve sugar in warm water and stir in yeast. Allow yeast
to proof until yeast resembles creamy foam.
- Mix salt and oil into yeast mixture.
- One cup at a time, mix in the flour.
- Knead dough on a lightly floured surface until smooth.
- Place in a well-oiled bowl, turn dough to coat and cover with plastic wrap
and allow to proof until double in size.
- Punch dough down and knead for a few minutes, then divide in half.
- Shape into two loafs and place into well-greased loaf pans. Allow to rise
for about 30 minutes.
- Bake at 350 for 30 - 40 minutes.
