Stuffed French Toast

Ingredients

  • 16 slices white bread
  • 12 eggs
  • 1/3 cup maple syrup
  • 8 oz cream cheese
  • powered sugar
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla

Directions

  1. Cut bread into cubes and place half in 13x9 inch baking dish.
  2. Cube the cream cheese and put on top of bread layer.
  3. Add remaining bread over the cheese layer.
  4. Blend eggs, milk, maple syrup and vanilla, then pour over bread and cheese layers.
  5. Place in refrigerator overnight covered in plastic wrap.
  6. Remove plastic wrap and bake at 375 F for 45 minutes.

Blueberries or strawberries can be added during preparation. Both fresh and frozen berries work well.
