Ingredients

Sauce
#

  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 3/4 cups onion
  • minced garlic
  • 1 pound petite diced tomatoes
  • 15 ounces tomato sauce
  • 2 tbsp parsley
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp basil

Cheese Mixture

  • 24 ounces small curd cottage cheese
  • 1/2 cups parmesan
  • 1 tbsp parsley
  • 1-1/2 tsp oregano

Assembly Ingredients

  • 2 cups mozzarella cheese
  • 1 box oven ready lasagna noodles

Directions

  1. Cook ground turkey, onion and minced garlic.
  2. Drain.
  3. Add petite diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, parsley, sugar, salt and basil, heat to a boil then reduce to a simmer.
  4. Simmer for 1 hour then remove from heat.
  5. In a large bowl, combine small curd cottage cheese, parmesan, parsley and oregano.
  6. Layer oven ready lasagna noodles onto the bottom of a 13x9 pan.
  7. Add a layer of the cheese mixture, then some shredded mozzarella.
  8. Repeat the previous step 3 times, ending with sauce on top, then a final layer of mozzarella.
  9. Bake at 350 for 50 minutes.
