Ingredients

Buckle
#

  • 1/4 cup butter, room temperature
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 cups fresh blueberries
  • 1 egg

Topping
#

  • 1/4 cup butter, room temperature
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/3 cup flour
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon

Directions

  1. Cream butter with sugar and add egg. Beat Well.
  2. Into a medium bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder and salt.
  3. Add shifted dry ingredients to butter mixture alternately with the milk. Beat until smooth.
  4. Fold in blueberries and pour into greased 9 inch square baking pan.
  5. Combine the topping ingredients and blend well to form crumbs and sprinkle over batter. Do not stir.
  6. Bake at 375 F for 35 minutes.
